Description:
  •  Oversee and ensure the general health of the New York office infrastructure that pertains to the delegated technologies. This could include – but is not limited to – servers, server operating systems, network storage devices, tapes and other backup devices, communications equipment, network hubs, routers, switches and related components. This includes hands-on involvement in daily monitoring, special projects, system maintenance and upgrade tasks, and the troubleshooting and resolution of problems and issues involving office IT infrastructure
  • Oversee and ensure the general health of all software applications and data residing on New York infrastructure equipment that pertain to the delegated areas. This includes – but is not limited to – software and firmware updates and patching, monitoring to ensure that the storage volumes have adequate space to accommodate data growth, and troubleshooting and resolution of problems and issues involving system applications. Where appropriate, duties also include assisting as an escalation resource for hardware and software issues in any area of IT operations, including at the desktop level.
  • Build, administer and monitor the Americas VMware infrastructure.
  • Build, administer and monitor the Americas Citrix infrastructure
  • Ensure trouble tickets escalated to the Operations team are addressed and resolved in a timely manner to meet the required SLA's or escalated. If it is not possible to resolve the issue locally the administrator should escalate the call to the relevant team in London but maintain ownership of overall problem resolution
  • The network analyst is expected to provide back-up coverage for other members of the Operations team during periods of absence, vacation, secondment or training which may involve changing shift. On occasions they may also be asked to cover for the deskside team.
  • The incumbent will be expected to act as a lead on some projects, especially within their area of expertise and participate within the team on others.
  •   The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the adherence to global technical standards in all areas relevant to the role.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a law firm (3-5 years preferred); minimum 3 years managing or supervising staff.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a senior administrator role in an environment utilizing current Microsoft server and e-mail operating systems and Cisco infrastructure. 
  • At least 3 years experience in VMWare 4.1 and Citrix Xenapp Server version 5/6.5 is a must.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 2003/2008, MSSQL 2005, Exchange 2010, Cisco Call manager 7 and at least 1 major document management system if a must.
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, WINS and TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of Litigation support technologies, MS SCCM, Carpe Diem, NetBack-up and firewall technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with modern technology quality control processes..
  • Four-year college degree preferred (Computer Science degree is a plus).
