Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
Ô Enterprise Architecture Development and Implementation: Lead the assessment, update, and adoption of Enterprise Architecture standards, based on the wide and line of business requirements and IT strategies.
Ô Enterprise Architecture Team Development: Define the structure and roles of the team in support of the revised Enterprise Architecture Standards and governance approach. Build the EA Team as required to support the definition, implementation, and ongoing governance/tracking of the Enterprise Architecture.
Ô EA Program Leadership: Lead the ongoing evolution of the enterprise architecture team and standards across the organization.
Ô Business Line Partnership: Partner with the business line architecture community on global IT direction, standards, guidelines and architecture governance.
Ô Current IT Environment Analysis: Lead analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and/or efficiency opportunities and recommend solutions. Analyze business drivers to ensure the proposed architectures address business needs and provides/enables business value.
Ô Technology Industry Trend Analysis: Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the firm architecture and line of business solutions and work with the strategy team to document and communicate technology vision and future state architectures. Assist the IT functions of the lines of business in leveraging technology innovation. Partner with internal subject matter experts and external vendors to set the R&D agenda, evaluate/communicate findings and transition knowledge to application and operational teams.
Ô EA Governance Leadership: Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide EA decision making and help to ensure that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities (such as handling waivers) are associated with EA compliance and global alignment.
Related Responsibilities:
Ô Provide support to the Finance Team to ensure Total Cost of Ownership is correctly identified, and that the associated saves from standardization are realized.

Ô Strategic Technology Planning Experience: Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development.
Ô Analytical Skills: Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ô Service Oriented: Ability to forge effective partnerships across business lines and infrastructure groups to realize common goals.
Ô Senior Executive Interaction Skills: Extensive experience in communicating with executive and operational management.
Ô Framework Certifications: Detailed knowledge of the TOGAF or Zachman architecture frameworks. Certification a plus.
Ô Project Management Skills: Excellent understanding of project management principles.
Ô Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
Ô 15+ years experience in managing information technology systems, building teams and delivering projects for a large IT department.
Ô 10+ years experience in insurance and/or financial services industry
Ô 10+ years experience in the overall architecture discipline
Ô 5+ years experience in the Enterprise Architecture role
