Responsible for designing and maintaining a highly reliable and easy-to-use Citrix/Remote Access environment for the end user population. Application deployment technologies such as streaming and application virtualization will be architected, implemented and ultimately maintained by candidate. Candidate will focus on a reliable and measurable Citrix / virtualization experience for the end user by generating usage and availability metrics as needed. - Design, maintain, monitor and secure highly available Citrix architecture. Deploy stable, monitored applications and desktops via Citrix. Work with end users at regular intervals to continue to increase satisfaction with the technology. - Design, maintain, monitor and secure highly available System Center Configuration Manager architecture. Deploy stable, monitored applications and desktops with SCCM. Work with end users at regular intervals to continue to increase satisfaction with the technology. - Provide remote end users ability to access internal firm resources outside of the network. Provide monitoring solutions and guidelines to allow support team to assist these users rapidly and effectively. Work with application team to diagnose deep level issues with applications and systems on Citrix and on the desktop environment. - Design, implement and maintain a functional business continuity / disaster recovery platform for Citrix and SCCM applications. At regular intervals run testing procedures to test viability of the fail-safe systems. - Develop strategies around QA, staging and testing all technologies candidate is responsible for. Continually update these to reflect changes and updates to the environment. - Design, implement and maintain full end-to-end monitor as necessary to give visibility into performance, reliability and security. Provide reports based on this monitoring on both scheduled and ad hoc basis. - Performs other duties as assigned
